Every Tuesday, all day long
It's a sauce that's usually made up with sour cream or mayo and spices. They don't just serve it anymore here, you have to ask for it now.
It's your average "upscale" Mexican food restaurant. The place is visually inviting and the food is Ford quality with good taste. Not special, but them again not subpar.
Great service and the choriqueso is delicious
Food is awesome. Place is very nice and friendly. Good price. I'll back soon
They have been through several management changes and the current staff has finally got their groove back! We look for reasons to go eat there again!
Consistently good food and drinks. Love the carnitas and the table-made guacamole. We come here for all our office celebrations. Friendly staff.
Awesome! While I can't vouch on how authentic the food is. I honestly don't care if it is or isn't. The service is always SUPER fast family friendly consistent after 3 separate visits. Their Mojito is smack yo momma good. I have one thing that annoys me. I will attach a picture to prove it. Restaurant sales tax in Wake Forest, NC is 8.25%. (The town of Wake Forest adds an additional 1% to Restaurant sales.) Tlaquepaque gives a suggested tip amount on their receipt. There is a setting to make the suggestion on the subtotal (before tax) or on the Grand total (After tax) Tlaquepaque chooses to do it on the Grand total. If you follow the suggestion you will tip on the tax. That is not cool.
The food is great and the people are wonderful. Great prices and the margarita's are the best!
Great food, staff and pricees!
We regularly enjoy dinner here being close to work and have good experiences overall. Food is well prepared, service is good and prompt, if a little abrupt. Bar is quite good with talented, personable staff. Carry out is hit or miss, but quite a bit of food for the money. Recommended Wake Forest option.
Food is really good! Prices can be a little high for average mexican food but definitely not unreasonable. There have been a few occasions when we were ignored by staff but most of the time they are very prompt. Love celebrating here!
The food was great tonight. Everything was seasoned very well.
Really nice decor and great wait staff. Good food and drinks.
Food and service were amazing! Been here before and I will definitely come back! Taco Tuesday rules!
Some of the best mexican food in Raleigh. Excellent service. Will definitely be going back. Social distancing made us feel safe.
So here’s the deal, it’s May 5th! But the restaurants are under policies that they can only do order and carry out. Busiest time of the year for them and the first time in this situation. It’s crazy here. They are patience and kind with everyone.
This is one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants. Best salsa, chips and tableside guacamole. The service is good. The food has been consistently good.
Service was great. The food was good. The restaurant was very cold and it was difficult to feel comfortable.
Chicken and Spinach Chicken was the bomb!!
Nice Mexican restaurant. Waiting had a very thick Mexican accent, almost hard to understand. My wife had the vegetarian quesadilla with honey chipotle dipping sauce. I had enchiladas with green sauce and pork. The quesadilla was very good, the enchiladas were a little salty.
This place is pretty fantastic. The service is incredibly fast for eating in and the staff is friendly and on top of things. The food is great! Coming from CA, we were a little worried about the Mexican food out this way, but this restaurant and a couple others have calmed our fears. Everything that we've had here has been delicious and the margaritas are definitely a must.
First Time eating here and it was AMAZING. It was Monday Night $1.00 tacos which they do weekly and it was the best TACO EVER. Plus I sampled the Nacho Supreme which was enough for two people......I will be RETURNING. Plus great value for the money!
Service and food was great. Gracias Oscar.
Good food and good service. They also have 52 oz margaritas! 1 star knocked off for being understaffed on busy nights and having to wait forever to be seated or helped for take out orders.
Enjoyable Tex-Mex restaurant. Reasonable prices and good food, but service a little disjointed. Five minute lag between entrees being brought to the table made things awkward. I would give it another try, tho.
I went there for lunch and was mostly ignored. I waited for my check for at least 25 minutes. The staff were very interested in the female patrons
The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. It was my first visit and I hope to go there many times in the future and work my way through their menu. My First visit was at lunch time, the flavor of the private was awesome with chips and on my meal, in fact there were so many wonderful flavors of herbs and spice that I have found lacking at other Mexican restaurants. It was an excellent meal. The
The food is great. It is the best Mexican restaurant I have eaten at.
We'd been meaning to try this nearby Mexican place for a while. We were promptly seated and our server was friendly and competent. We ordered the fresh guacamole which was good but everything after was not. The salsa was terrible. I ordered the carnitas tacos which were a burnt, blazing greasy mess. I managed to put one of the three down before I lost my appetite. My wife ordered the tacos diabla, big mistake, she took one bite and couldn't eat them. I don't blame her, they were pretty gnarly looking. Even the rice and beans served with the meals were not good. There are too many better Mexican places to ever come back here. I do not recommend.
The service, food and atmosphere at Tlaquepaque was great! The service was outstanding and the table side guacamole was the best guacamole I've had in North and Central America! Sooooo good! The enchiladas Tlaquepaque were fantastic! The margaritas a really really good too! Definitely go here of you want great Mexican food.
Absolutely the best around awesome margaritas. Prompt service and great food. Haven't had a disappointment with this place yet. I will definitely be returning.
This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant, hadn't been there in about a year. A year ago food was amazing, tasted authentic. We went about a week ago and the food was super bland. I was so disappointed that they changed their food/recipes. I'm hoping that maybe it was just an off night for them but not sure I want to go back to find out they are still serving the same bland Mexican food.
Generous food portion. I really liked the guacamole! It is fresh and they make it on your table. It was an authentic Mexican food experience.
Went to lunch to celebrate my friends birthday. Had a burrito with shrimp and pineapple topped with yummy cheese sauce...it was incredible!! Fresh quacomole was amazing! Highly recommend!
Definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant! Huge portions, friendly staff, and a wonderful margarita.
I love this place. I get tacos there every Tuesday. Today my coworkers and I ordered 15 tacos, some soft, some crunchy. We get our food back to the store and they're all soft. Okay, not a big deal. We called to ask about the mistake and these jokers asked us to bring them back the food they already gave us to exchange for the correct food. I don't want anything for free. However, at this point I've had to leave work twice and have wasted several minutes of my lunch break. The appropriate thing for them to do would have been to let us keep the wrong tacos they accidentally gave us. But now they're going in the trash, or God knows where. Shame shame Tlaquepaque.
Service and good were very good, our first time. I look forward to going back and trying more as they have a large menu
Tlaquepaque is difficult to say but great to eat at. They've got some of the best chips and salsa around so definitely go with the hard shell tacos. If you like mayo, they've got a white sauce that you should try as well -- it's not my favorite but I'm not a huge may fan. I also recommend their tres leche cake if you'd like a sweet dessert treat. It's super moist and delicious.
Family and I got Mexican from here oh, and we were absolutely delighted. I normally like to get not very expensive meals, and try to be on the more frugal side, one of the meals described head shrimp, scallops, pineapple and in a cored pineapple. That is, the Woody part of the pineapple, the part that you don't eat. You know, when you drink pineapple drinks and they come in the pineapple itself.Well that was pretty pricey, $21 or so, and it was worth every penny. I love pineapple, I love shrimp, I love scallops, and all the other stuff that was in there. I enjoyed every bite. Side dishes that went with it we're good I felt oh, and I look forward to going back. The staff was nice, helpful, and informative.
Great place for Mexican food. Portions are quite big and filling. A little hard to find but easy to get to. Prices are fairly decent for the quantity and quality of food you get. My favorite place to eat
Authentic Mexican food. Service is good.
Awesome food! ...and service! Very family, friendly place!
The menu has so much I still want to try. Everything is very tasty and affordably priced. I often get their lunch specials, they are excellent. Please give them a try soon.
Almost every single time I come here my order gets messed up. And I just order straight off the menu without alterations or any requests. Otherwise the food is decent.Often times it takes 40+ minutes for a group of 4 people to get their food when the restaurant is full. Bar is a joke there was not a single person serving anyone sitting at the bar to the point where both my group and another couple had to ask 3 different waiters if the bar was even open (where they responded it was but then proceeded to ignore everyone sitting there).Therefore- not my top choice in the wake forest area and I avoid it when I can.
Yum! Great ambiance. Authentic! Side guacamole cart at your table. Try the Marijuana drink! Lol
Very kind service and delicious, quick Mexican food. We love it here.
Very nice on the inside. Food was great and service was friendly. The highlight was the Fresh Watermelon Margarita! My boyfriend gave me his strawberry from his Sangria in the picture. The margarita was garnished simply with a lime wedge. I ask for half salt/half sugar rim. Want to go back to try the Passionfruit and the Coconut flavor! He had the Canitas in Salsa Verde. It was also good. I thought it was just a bit salty but, he did not think so. We came in because there was a coupon with a menu attached to it and several items were unusual and unexpected. We will definitely go back!
Too much salt. Demasyado sal. Great food, great drinks. My only issue is the excessive salt. Reduce the salt and I’d eat here weekly.
Don’t waste your money! Nobody tried to make you feel welcome. Waiters will gladly charge you for drinks but won’t pay enough attention to refill them. Food didn’t come out together and everyone had to wait up to 10 minutes which made the food cold. Food really isn’t that good either. Don’t waste your money!! Manager was clueless too. He should be paying attention to the customers..
Great food, great service! I hope they stay alive. Well worth the visit!
Friendly staff, tasty food, good portions. We went for dinner and enjoyed the the atmosphere and the food. Great selection of Margaritas too! Recommended for a date night and for family night.
